'Opportunities, challenges and barriers to Open Educational Resources' OER Event

The Support Centre for Open Resources in Education (SCORE) is running a workshop event 'Opportunities, challenges and barriers to Open Educational Resources' which will include presentations from three UK OER projects:
- Evaluating the practice of opening up resources for learning and teaching in social science. C-SAP OER project, HEA Sociology, Anthropology, Politics Centre, University of Birmingham. (Darren Marsh, University of Birmingham)
- Enhancing and expanding Nottingham’s existing Open Educational Repository to progress the vision of sustainable OERs. BERLiN, Building exchanges for research and learning in Nottingham, University of Nottingham. (Andy Beggan, University of Nottingham)
- NumBat (Numeracy Bank): This project is building on previous workto provide online learning materials to support numeracy across a wide range of subject areas in FE and HE. - Anglia Ruskin University.

In the afternoon there will be facilitated discussion around opportunities, challenges and barriers to creating, publishing and using open educational resouces in higher education. This event is suitable for those who are new to open educational resources, and those who are already engaged in this activity.
